Generative AI refers to a class of artificial intelligence models designed to generate new content, such as text, images, audio, and even video, that is often indistinguishable from human-created content.
Why is it “Generative”?
The term “generative” comes from the model’s ability to generate new, original content. This is achieved through advanced algorithms and neural network architectures, such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), which learn from vast amounts of data to produce novel outputs. For example, a Generative AI model trained on thousands of images can create entirely new images that look realistic but do not exist in the real world.
